Cottages with a snooker table

Knock a few balls about and challenge your friends on holiday

cottage with snooker tableSome people aspire to owning a full-size snooker table, but most people sadly do not have a house spacious enough to house one. It can be a pleasant surprise to book a holiday cottage with a snooker table and experience what it might feel like to own one, even if it is for a week or two. It may be possible, that the novelty wears off and another dream bites the dust. Still, better to know that than save for something that would end in disappointment. That is one of the good aspects of hiring holiday homes with particular features – you can test run them.

Apparently, snooker is a more difficult game to play than pool, it uses more balls, precisely twenty-two, and each ball is slightly smaller than in pool. Greater skill is needed for a game of snooker.

A snooker table is a massive table covered with green baize and the idea is to knock the balls into pockets in a certain order using a snooker cue. Because of the size of the table, it is usually found in a room dedicated to it or in a games room. For the same reason, only larger holiday cottages or mansions can be expected to have their own snooker room.

They are also found in holiday parks, as part of a leisure complex, that is shared by a number of guests.
